Natural remedies for my kids:
Things you will need:
1) lemon - from the market
2) Manuka honey, propolis and pear juice - BMS Organic shop
If they have sore throat, fever, flu, cough or/and phlegm:
1) 1 teaspoon of manuka honey with 1 drop (for JK) & 3 drops (for ZY) of propolis, 3 times a day (before or half and hour after meal).
2) Mix 2 table spoon of lemon juice with pear juice so it's not so sour, 3 times a day (before or half and hour after meal).
Only when their fever last more than 3 days, I would bring them to see a doctor.
Normally their fever will go away on the 3rd day.

Shichida, Heguru or Tweedle Wink
I've put my son's name on the Heguru waiting list. Why not Shichida? It's because their materials are so old and their teachers keep changing. WHy not Tweedle Wink? It's because the lesson plan is so boring & too simple, not as compact as Shichida and Heguru.

4 ways to get toddler to do as you want
1) He will not get out of the bath
- pull the plug and say, Ooh, it is chilly, let Mummy warm you up' (holding out a cosy towel).
2) He will not tidy up.
- Turn it into a game by throwing soft toys into a nearby box.
3) He will not let you wash his hands.
- Let him play with a basin of water ( while you watch).
4) He will not hand a book or toy to his sibling.
- Heap praise on him, smile and tell him he is a good boy for giving the toy to his sibling.

Right brain training Part 2: Image Play
Image Play
Start the session with:
1) Deep breathing & normal breathing (3x)
2) Energy balls (relaxation exercise)
3) Praise the child’s good points
Example 1:
- Lie down with eyes closed & pretend to sleep
- Take deep breaths, exhale slowly and flatten your tummy
- Then inhale and swell out your tummy like a big balloon
- Repeat this breathing 3 times then back to normal breathing
- Imagine you’re a puppy. You’re at the gymnastic hall. You wave to mommy who’s sitting at the corner. You were smiling away & you are very happy because you like the gymnastic teacher and your cute little gymnastic friends.
- You can open your eyes slowly and see a corner of the room. You can see that you’re in your gymnastic hall with your cute friends and loving teacher. Everybody take a mat and put them on the floor.
- Now, you can see everybody sitting in front of the teacher. Raise your hand if you can see them. OK, put down your hand.
- You stretch like teacher and your friend stretch their body too. Could you tell me how it is like?
- Well, you are coming back to your seat. And close your eyes. When I count to 3, you will come back to yourself. 1,2,3.
Example 2:
- Today we’ll play in a music class.
- Lie down and close your eyes
- Deep breathing 3 times and back to normal breathing
- Imagine you’re little teddy. You’re in the Opus music room. This is a place where all the music instruments are kept. All your friends sit in a circle, in front of your music teacher. Everybody is excited and happy because teacher is going to give you a music instrument. What is teacher giving you today?
- What is going to happen? Your image can take you anywhere you want.
- Remember what you see in your image and tell me what happened when you come back. I am going to stop talking for a while.

Right brain training Part 1: Senses play
Senses Play covers Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Hand Reading Ability and Precognitive Ability. Before starting the games below, we need to do with the child: |
- deep breathing, energy ball, praise child's good points. |
1) Telepathy (mother knows the answer) |
a) Animal cards -Place 5 cards face up infront of the child, place 5 cards face down infront of mother. |
- mother picks 1 card & stares at it intensely, sees the image on her brain, says - from among the 5 cards, pick up the same card that mother has in her hand now |
b) Guessing mothers mind |
- mother and child face each other - get child to guess shapes, colours, animal, transportation vehicles etc that's in mothers' mind |
2) Clairvoyance (mother doesn't know the answer) |
a) Identifying cards |
'- Place 5 cards face down infront of the child. Ask the child to guess, without looking at the card, the mothers points to |
b) What is in the box |
'-put 1 ball in a box, out of a possible five colours.Guess the colour without touching the ball. |
c) recollection of cards game - find the matching pair. |
d) blindfolded game |
-once a & b are 100% succesfull, do blindfold game. Have an object or map placed infront of the child without him touching the object and ask the child to guess. |
e) Catch mummy game '-blind fold the child |
3) Hand Reading Ability |
a) Guessing colour |
- at 1 side of a completely sealed cardboard box, make a round hole just right for a hand holding a ball. Put 5 balls inside.Guess the colour before the child takes out the ball. |
b) Card play |
Lay 10 cards face down infront of the child. Have him touch the card one by one and guess the colour of the card. Animal cards can be used as well |
c) What is written on paper |
On a piece of a square paper 2 cm each sides, write 1 alphabet. Wrap up into a ball and hand it to the child. Ask him to put the paper to his ear, or tuck under his armpit and guess what is written on the paper |
-child will know the letter as it will appear on the area in front of his special eye |
4) Precognition ability - to predict what is going to happen |
a) Guessing the weather - have the child predict the next day's weather |
b) Guessing the card |
Guess the order of the next day's five cards and write his prediction down. Then the next day, cut the cards well, line them up face down and then 1 by 1 turn them over to see if they agree with the order written down the day before. Suggest to the child that what he is trying to guess about the future will be seen as an image by the special eye. |
Right brain training for kids
Shichida suggests that we do home practice with our children the below everyday.
1) Senses play
2) Image play
3) Memory play
4) Speed Play - Flash card
5) Speed Play - Dot card
6) Eye Training
7) Music play
8) Reading or Writting Practice
It's said that we can complete all the above within 15 minutes. However, I failed to find time and energy to do any of the above. Since I'm working and have very little time for ZY and JK, I came up with a new idea. I'm spreading the 7 activities into 7 days. I'll write down the activities for each game in my next blog.
